This Tuesday, Nov. 4, is Election Day, and you know that everywhere you go the decaying waltz of electoral politics will be in full swing. You are curious about the outcome of various political races, but you know that we're all going to be stuck in the same capitalist muck no matter who wins. You are not alone.
Liberty Hall wants you to come party with us.
WHEN: Tuesday, Nov. 4, 8:00pm
WHERE: Liberty Hall, 311 N. Ivy St., Portland, OR 97227 (1 block S. of Fremont, 2 blocks W. of Vancouver Blvd.)
WHAT: A benefit for Liberty Hall, Portland's premier venue for low cost meeting/event rentals, democratically operated by the member organizations of the Workers' Education & Resource Center.
A $5 donation at the door will get you in for these bands:
* The Hand That Bleeds (psycho pop punk)
* Chemtrail Pilot (Albuquerque hip hop)
* Vibrarians (Olympia punk)
* Jalin (acoustic)
What's more, there will also be a showing/sale of political art beginning at 8:30p. Proceeds will be split 50/50 between the artist and Liberty Hall. We will also have refreshments available for donation. Liberty Hall is an all-ages, smoke free venue.
And, of course, we'll have a small T.V. in the basement tuned in to election stats, if you're into that sort of thing.
