William Bergin resigns from Sandy Police Department

One of the officers involved in the death of Fouad Kaady has resigned.
William Bergin, one of the two police officers involved with the death of Fouad Kaady in Sandy has resigned effective October 24th. He had been placed on administrative leave in July while the department was investigating conduct surrounding Clackamas County Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Claggett. Claggett has also resigned after the investigation disclosed his improper conduct involving lewd photographs. I have not yet discovered any connection between Bergin's resignation and that of officer Claggett, though they were both on the same 'drug enforcement squad'.

I am sure more information will follow.
