OBAMA: THE BLACK WHITE MAN
You who still believe that we exist in a democratic state have yet another "choice" of tired, stupid and privileged white men to give your vote to. Yes, yes, I know that Obama has black skin. And, yes, I do include him in the category of stupid white men as he is quite pathetically the Black White Man.
Where Recompense is Redemption
I don't vote. Just don't, haven't in years.
The last time I voted was in '92. Yup, I was one of the sorry fools who but Bubba Billy Bob in office. Actually, it was Hillary that I was really voting for. I was quite the fan, even idolizing her for a minute there. Sadly, it didn't take much time to realize that she was the narcissistic and unconscionable opportunist that she continues to be at present.
The date that I write this, August 25, is the opening day of the Democratic Convention in Denver, Colorado. I am encouraged to hear that there is a great deal of disruptive street action going on as we speak, but not very encouraged to learn that anywhere from 400-1000 who participated in the Anti-Capitalista march today are currently detained in the cages specially reserved for them there. Reports indicate that police have been using pepper-spray and tear gas since the march began. I've been sprayed a time or two in the course of exercising my so-called constitutional rights. Sometimes the stuff sucks the breath right out of you and blinds you. Sometimes it causes blistering and stings the skin horribly.
And sometimes it smells like revolution.
You who still believe that we exist in a democratic state have yet another "choice" of tired, stupid and privileged white men to give your vote to. Yes, yes, I know that Obama has black skin. And, yes, I do include him in the category of stupid white men as he is quite pathetically the Black White Man. The "house Negro". The "hang around the fort" Indian. And what better choice than Joe Biden to pick as running mate! Yes! The same Joe Biden who said this about Obama in January of last year, "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy ... I mean, that's a storybook, man." He went on to say that he didn't think that Obama had chance at winning the presidency because, "he's a one-term, a guy who has served for four years in the Senate. ... I don't recall hearing a word from Barack about a plan or a tactic."
But, wait! It gets better! This is what he said in July 2006: "In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking."
Are you putting the picture together yet? No a very pretty one, mmm? Let's be clear; Obama is more than likely headed to the White House with a man who bases his understanding of people of color on racist stereotype. This is a guy who a year and a half ago said that Obama hadn't a hope in hell in becoming president. These statements by Biden were broadcast all over the place. Obama is certain to be aware of these remarks. And this is the best he can do? What does this say to you about Obama? What does this say about We the Sheeple? Or rather, you the Sheeple?
Earlier this evening Black Hawk helicopters were buzzing over the Denver Convention Center as empty, self-serving, masturbatory speeches were made inside. Outside, the people took a stand. No longer tolerant of business as usual, the instance of revolutionary violence looms. And we haven't even gotten to the Republican Convention yet.
In this time of political farce, dire straits, urban street fighting and desperate insurrection, those with an ear to the underground wrestle with the words that they hear: atonement, payback, revolt, rebellion, resurrection, redemption, recompense. The anarcho-Rican poet Not4Prophet has had something to say about this. These are the words he wants you to here:
this is the part
where we buy back our
brains and steal back
where the debt
with the wealth
and the price we pay
for our freedom
also covers the cost
where your sins
settle our salvation
and the violence you
made to down press us
becomes the violence
that uplifts us
where the history you
wrote with our blood
is re-written in yours
and your death becomes
this is where your end
is our beginning
this is where recompense
