Informational Meeting for Geothermal Energy Leasing on Mt. Hood

There are currently 9,000 acres of Mt. Hood National Forest going through environmental review as a source for geothermal energy. The Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) are jointly assessing areas throughout the west, holding public meetings this summer.

According to the BLM's official schedule, the Portland meeting is Tuesday, July 29.

The meeting on Monday will be in Seattle.
