From an AP report-
"PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Multnomah County will soon get the largest solar power project in Oregon."
"The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a project Thursday that will place solar installations on three county buildings. A Maryland solar company will build, own and operate the system, selling the power at a reduced rate to the county."
That is all well and good, but why aren't we manufacturing, installing, owning, and operating this project locally?
This could be an excellent start, if Oregon is serious about continuing to lead the way in alternative energy development, and towards transitioning towards this industry as an economic basis.
