A solidly packed four blocks of marchers passed through the streets of Portland after gathering and rallying at the South Park Blocks.
The Rally was moderated by Shizuko Hashimoto of Portland Central America Solidarity Committee, who introduced representative speakers from the ILWU and the religious community, a Palestinian, a Spoken Word artist. The final speaker was from the Committee of Solidarity and Mutual Aide, a group that was formed in the wake of the, Immigration and Custom Enforcement, Del Monte raids, to provide a network of support for all those affected by the raids.
All but the Spoken Word was translated in both Spanish and English.
