A Critical Look at the Security & Prosperity Partnership (SPP)

This is an event that I'm really encouraging people to go too,
especially if you don't know what the SPP is. The SPP is
anti-democratic, secretive and in short corporate led fascism in the
vein of Mussolini.

A panel of experts from the U.S., Mexico and Canada will discuss the
"NAFTA-plus" agenda embodied by the Security & Prosperity Partnership
(SPP). Circumventing Congress, this growing set of backroom deals
covers everything from water privatization to energy policy; homeland
security to public health; transportation to immigration. Learn more!

SPP = More militarization of borders, more free-trade, privitization,
more mono-culture, and destruction of environment.

After the FTAA failed in Miami, they moved there corporate agenda into
the darkness away from the people. We must bring this quiet corporate
takeover into the light. Cascadia Root Force will be tabling event
with literature, follow-up events, and we are offering to do
presentations for other community groups on "the history of
neoliberalism, putting the SPP/Plan Mexico into context".

The next summit for the SPP is in New Orleans the weekend of April
21-22. Locally we are looking into having an alternative summit to
get groups talking about how we can shut the SPP down.
