Rape while under anesthesia, surgical or procedural contamination from medical staff, the means of transmission is not yet proven, evidence supports however, that the PDX V.A. has at least in one case given a patient Herpes 2. Until and when the PDX VA or Oregon health department decide to test employees involved in this patients care, people should avoid both OHSU (who shares physicians and trainees w/PDX VA and other facilities) and PDX V.A. for any sort of surgical, OBJYN, or other care that involves anesthesia or care that may risk infection. Herpes 2 is an ugly infection that you live with for life. Please, take this seriously and take care of yourself by seeking responsible and safe health care. OHSU/PDX V.A. is not a place for safe health care.
If you have tested positive for Herpes 2, think you may have contracted Herpes 2 at the PDX VA or OHSU, please call 541-956-1513
