Visa Netword Down in Europe

Why Haven't you guys at PDX Indy News, an independent source of factual reporting, told Portland about the Visa Network failure in most of Europe?
My daughter is studying abroad in France, and no ATM will process any Visa transactions, meaning their system in Europe has crashed or hacked. On Point Credit Union told us these facts yesterday, explaining in no uncertain terms that 'the Visa System in Europe is down, they are working on it, and I have nothing else to tell you at the moment.'

Why would no one -- not even online Euro publications -- report on a computer failure of this magnitude? Could the truth of this very real matter -- which you apparently learn about if you are trying to pull your money through the Visa system -- be that its revelation might further erode the 'Market of Cards' our IOU financial system id built on?

I'm glad the Visa system crashed, it sort of causes a giant boycott, no?

Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention, but please remember that all of the news on this site is posted by people like you--there is no "you guys at PDX Indy News". If something isn't posted, view it as an opportunity to post it yourself, don't ask why no one else has written about it. I had no idea this was happening, and I'm glad to hear about it from you.
