Eminent Iraq Psychiatrist Speaks on "The Psychosocial Consequences of the War in Iraq"

Eminent Iraqi Psychiatrist Baher Butti, a native of Baghdad, who has recently received asylum in the US, will speak on "The Psychosocial Consequences of the War in Iraq" at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, 9300 SE Sunnybrook Blvd, Clackamas, on Monday, January 7 at 7:00 PM. The event is sponsored by the Institute for Progressive Spirituality. Adonation of $5.00 is requested to help defray expenses. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
Dr Butti's family still remains abroad as they have not been successful in receiving visas to enter the US to join him. One son is in Syria and his other son and Baher's wife are in Jordan. Dr Butti currently works as a counselor to Arab speaking peoples at OHSU.
