Calling Washington County Activists!

Groups like Washington County Peak Oil, Pacific University's Students for Evironmental Activism, and (soon) the Oregon Sierra Club, are calling on the Washington County Board of Commissioners to make a commitment to reducing greenhouse emissions. Please take 30 seconds to help, by signing a petition at www.thepetitionsite.com/1/cool-washington-county
I am circulating an online petition that asks the Board of Commissioners to pass a resolution setting strong emissions-reduction goals. So far the petition has over 100 signatures from Washington County residents, but we need more! I hope to send the petition to the Board of Commissioners sometime in the next few weeks, and it will be very important to have an impressive number of signatures. So if you live somewhere within the boundaries of Washington County, please take a moment to add your name to the list. Go to www.thepetitionsite.com/1/cool-washington-county

Those of us pressuring the Washington County Board of Commissioners are detecting a change within the Board. At first they mostly blew us off, and tried to ignore our efforts. Now they are more willing to talk about sustainability. Please help us keep the pressure up by adding your name to the petition!
