Award for the "Earlman" Lone Vet Report

"Heck of a Job"
November 16, 2007,

Yesterday was our 17th week protesting outside of Rep. Blumenauer's office and the winds were blowing in all directions. Just before going to the protest two important events happened; I received word requesting a handwritten letter to Pelosi requesting/demanding impeachment. The request came from Cindy Sheehan and what I know is that Pelosi has made the statement, get me 10,000 handwritten letters calling for impeachment and I will put it back on the table. So, do it folks----here is what I got from:

Jody Paulson

"Here's a great chance to have Pelosi "put her money where her mouth is" and bombard her with letters for impeachment of Cheney. She wants 10,000 handwritten impeachment letters--please write one and send it by THIS FRIDAY...but send it to Cindy Sheehan so she can count them and then deliver them to Pelosi as soon as possible.

Please send them to:
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi
c.o Cindy for Congress
RE: Impeach Dick Cheney
1260 Mission Blvd
San Francisco, Ca 94103

Please pass this around and have them sent by Friday, November 16th
and we will have them delivered to her office in San Francisco before
Thanksgiving."

I heard about this at our Cindy for Congress organizational meeting yesterday, but I'm not sure where to find the quote from Nancy -- they said she said she'd put impeachment on the table if she got 10,000 handwritten letters by Thanksgiving. I'll find out more about this today. In the meantime, scribble a note on a piece of paper and sacrifice a 41 cent stamp for the cause of democracy and an accountable government!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So off your asses and get that letter in the mail today! The second event was that Blumenuer voted for the 50 Billion for the Bush war in Iraq. He broke his promise not to vote for any spending to continue this war, does not surprise me, I do wonder how PDX PEACE feels being punked again by this man called "The Earl." It would be nice to have PDX Peace come join us on Thursdays to let Earl know that the free ride is over. We did stop in the office to check on any change in Earl's position, our friendly staffer Joe said he did not know why Earl voted for the 50 Billion, did not know if there was any explanation of why he would break his word. We turned around and there in the corner of the office was the Declaration of Peace---seemed ironic!

Before I forget, we will not be outside of the office next Thursday because of Thanksgiving, some of you asked me if I was going on Wednesday and I said I don't think so---I changed my mind. I will go on Wednesday in order to deliver the first Turkey Award to Earl Blumenauer, along with a lemon and a jar of Vaseline. The Award will state:

For outstanding dedication to sucking The Speaker's toes when requested.
For actions beyond the call to duty when told to bend over by the Speaker
For screwing the unions on the Peru Trade Deal
For voting for more money to kill more Iraqis and keeping our soldiers in harm's way for another year
For refusing to honor your Oath of Office to the Constitution.
For ignoring the wishes of your constituents
For your dedication to the corporate state.

We, "Individuals for Justice" acknowledge all these acts with this award!

Congratulation Rep. Blumenauer-----you are doing a "Heck of a Job."

So, if you are in the area on Wednesday stop in and congratulate the Earl-man on his selection for this award!

For Justice and Peace,
Joe Walsh--Lone Vet
Portland, Oregon

P.S. Pelosi is already denying this, screw her send them anyway!

A Littlelate

It is now almost six oclock on Friday the 16th of November. Could we not have waited until tomorrow? I live dozens of miles from a post office, and am sans a stamp. and you tell me this should be sent by today? I will send it tomorrow, and hope for the best, but sure would be nice to get the word out a little quicker. We all know that Nancy the liar will not keep her word, but why give her an excuse by not meeting her arbitrary deadline?

late is good 16.Nov.2007 18:15

I included the notice again just in case someone missed the first notice on the 14th. I tried hard to get the word out on this and it should not make a difference if it goes out tomorrow, they asked for tonight and that is what I passed alone.

See lone vet report on the 14th on Portland Indy

For Justice and Peace,
Joe
