sick of this society

Thank God at least someone is doing at least something. Anything.

It's just fucking wrong to allow other living beings to be tortured to death. It's wrong in Guantanamo, and it's wrong in fur farms. Anyone who would tell me that doing something to stop this torture is "terrorism" is an just dead inside. If you have a soul, do something. DO something. Anything. Just get up and do something. It's time.

28 october 2007 - Skara: On the night to October 28th we attacked the dark heart of the fur industry when we released around 3000 minks from Ostergardens mink farm, two kilometres northeast of Skara. Thousands of looks of expectation and curiosity watched as we cut holes in the fence and slipped into the farm avoiding the motion detectors that the fur farmer had put up in order to deter animal rights activists from giving the animals their eagerly awaited freedom.
Three out of nine sheds were emptied and 500 breeding cards taken before we disapeared out in the darkness to hit the next target. Let our action say that no targets are impossible. When there is a will to stop the animals suffering here and now there is also a way to do it. Our way was to ask ourselves what the mink would choose - a chance for survival in nature or a death under the hands of the greedy fur farmer? We are the raped mink female's fury over the fact that her kids are taken away year after year to produce unnecessary luxury items. We are the imprisoned mink male's wrath for having to live his life in a cage smaller than a newspaper. We are the Animal Liberation Front and we won't give up until the fur industry is destroyed.

According to German media, approximately 7,500 mink escaped from a fur farm near the village of Grabow (Jerichower Land district) in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Police believe animal rights activists raided the farm in the early hours of Friday morning, cutting through wire fences and releasing the animals from their cages.

German soldiers were deployed in an attempt to recapture the mink. As of Monday, approximately 4,000 mink were still on the loose in the German countryside.

5 weeks ago we read in the media about the raid against the mink farm in Härryda and that it had been emptied of all animals. Unfortunately it could also be read that about half of the mink were recaptured. Because of that we decided to take responsibilty because every individual deserves a second chance. On the night to October 26th the farm was visited again and the first thing we saw was a trap with a mink captured in it, but it was released and the trap destroyed.

After that the cages for 600-700 mink were opened and we also found 100 ferrets at the farm and they were also released. All breeding cards were taken and the slogan 'Everyone wants to live' was sprayed before all traps were destroyed to avoid the need for a third visit.

GO VEGAN 01.Nov.2007 09:36

For the earth, the animals, and the environment.

If we were alive a long time ago when we actually needed meat for survival once in awhile.....like the native americans who not only used every single part of the animal but also became spiritually connected to animals. It's different then a so called "sport". Most hunters do not kill for survival. They kill because they think it is fun. They have no respect for animals. I grew up with hunters. Everything about them pisses me off. They don't give a shit about the environment or wildlife. All they care about is themselves, their guns, and how big their penises are. Now I am saying "Most hunters" because there are always exceptions. But their should not be exceptions anymore because their is not a necessity to kill animals for food. We need to stop destroying our planet, shooting animals for fun, torturing animals for so called science and we need to stop the fur industry. Oh and GO VEGAN!!!! I'm vegan and I feel good that I'm not contributing to the suffering of animals and I have been looking at how everything I do makes an impact on this earth. I try to buy mostly in bulk, I ride my bicycle, and I watch how much energy I am using and how mostly everything I throw away will go in the landfill. We all need to take a little bit more time in our daily lives to think and act consciously.
