US Diplomats drafted to serve in Iraq

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will start notifying US 'diplomats' that they are selected for postings in Iraq. For the US, NATO and other occupiers, it's an extremely dangerous hardship post, with also daily insurgent mortar attacks on the fortified Green Zone where the 'embassy' is located. Alarming is Rice's indication of a 2 year training in Arabic: do they still think it's possible to stay?

IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE FIRED UPON, YOU'RE FIRED!
FPF - October 28th 2007 - Associated Press writes from Washington that in the largest call-up of U.S. diplomats since the Vietnam War, the State Department is planning to order some of its personnel to serve at the American Embassy in Iraq 'because of a lack of volunteers'. They will have 10 days to accept or reject the position. If not enough say yes, some will be ordered to go to Iraq and face dismissal if they refuse, Harry Thomas, director general of the Foreign Service, said Friday. "If someone decides ... they do not want to go, we will then consider appropriate action," he said. "We have many options, including dismissal from the Foreign Service."
Which 'Snyper42' commented upon, on the forum site of Military Times: "It would appear that the request for volunteers was a fine litmus test of the internal ideological climate within the diplomatic corps." This draft of apparently unwilling diplomats Rice also will have to explain to her Turkish 'hosts' later this week, when she flies to Ankara and a meeting on the growing global resistance to their illegal invasion of Iraq. Rice is globally known as the 'Angel of Death' or the 'Black Plague' because she leaves a bloody trail behind of death and destruction, while collaborators are allowed to pick the bones clean. The US/UK warlords and their financiers, however, go on, even if already in the autumn of 2003 former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak told US vice president, Dick Cheney, ''that America had lost in Iraq.''
''CHOOSING THE SIZE OF YOUR HUMILIATION''
Israel "had learned that there's no way to win an occupation," he told Mr Cheney, and the only issue was "choosing the size of your humiliation." But the Washingtonian junta, supported by many Pentagon and NATO warlords, daily further wagging the 'American Dog of War' and NATO into another quagmire in Iran, this powerfully urging lobby only saw the geopolitical turf wars and their profit. They just go on with their global genocides, killing millions of human beings in the US/UK junta's totalitarian and fascistic Straussian belief, that might makes right. Which they called a Project for a New American Centyry, PNAC. It included the inside job of 9/11, to get the 'new Pearl Harbor' and have nitwits gather around some slogans and a flag. The flag, they didn't understand, or did not want to, is used to cover the corpses and coffins. And that's why US 'diplomats' also refuse to be shot at, and end up in body bags or in some morgue. That's for other people ... and by the millions.
''DIRECTED ASSIGNMENTS''
According to AP, about 200 Foreign Service officers work in Iraq, and the union that represents U.S. diplomats, the American Foreign Service Association, "has expressed deep concerns in the past about a possible move what are known as "directed assignments." But officials with the AFSA could not be reached for comment on this 'draft for diplomats'. The move to directed assignments is rare but not unprecedented: In 1969, an entire class of entry-level diplomats was sent to Vietnam, and on a smaller scale, diplomats were required to work at various embassies in West Africa in the 1970s and 1980s. [ ]
''I NEED 3 VOLUNTEERS: YOU, YOU AND YOU!''
When Rice ordered that Baghdad be given staffing priority, she had warned that unless more 'volunteers' could be found, the department would have to implement directed assignments. "It is my fervent hope that we will continue to see sufficient numbers ... volunteering for Iraq service, but we must be prepared to meet our requirements in any eventuality," she said in an unclassified cable sent to all diplomatic missions abroad on June 19.
2 YEARS OF LANGUAGE TRAINING
That directive followed an earlier offer for any diplomats wanting to learn Arabic to leave their current post immediately for two years of language training* before being posted to Iraq and an appeal from the U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, Ryan Crocker, for the urgency of the Iraq operation to be made clear to all diplomats. Crocker has repeatedly appealed to the State Department headquarters for more and better trained personnel to staff the embassy. The embassy operation had been due to move into a vast new compound last month, but the move has been indefinitely delayed due to logistical and construction problems. (Meaning: 'resistance' - HR)
Iraq is an extremely dangerous hardship post with near daily insurgent mortar attacks on the fortified Green Zone where the embassy is located. The U.S. military has quietly but repeatedly complained that its forces and other Defense Department personnel have been pressed into service in jobs that should have been filled by State Department personnel.
In particular, Defense Department employees and service members were forced to fill spots on provincial reconstruction teams for months because the State Department could not get personnel there. Military officials have complained that other federal agencies - including State, Commerce and Agriculture - aren't moving quickly enough to fill critical needs in Iraq. Those agencies, they argue, have the expertise to help Iraqi business people and farmers get back to their jobs and improve the economy." [ ]
THE ONLY ECONOMY IMPROVING IS TO BE SEEN ON THE BANK ACCOUNTS OF THE WARLORDS AND THEIR FINANCIERS WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS GLOBAL MISERY IN THE FIRST PLACE.
And now the US/UK junta's war machine is not only scraping the bottom of the barrel in the US for more cannon fodder, or the stop-loss prolonging of duty, a sly draft for volunteers already serving: now comes the draft for diplomats. Proving clearly how bad feelings towards the illegal genocides everywhere are. An impopularity also growing in the US/UK junta's own mostly gagged and mute circles, where many now only speak up because they fear for their own lifes. Not the lifes of others...
Doesn't the US/UK junta and their collaborators, diplomats or not, understand that nobody wants them anymore and anywhere, but in a war crimes tribunal or hanging from a lamppost? Away? Dead and buried with their false 'democracy' or so called 'human rights' and their fake 'freedom' coming from the barrel of a gun?
The conclusion was easy and drawn ages ago: the actions of those humanoids are all and only for their own profit and power.
Never for human beings and their right to live a normal life.
