BURMA FREEDOM PRESENCE TODAY 4:00 P.M.

Join Portland's Burma refugee committee in solidarity with the resistance to Burma's brutal military dictatorship. And tell Chevron to stop bankrolling Burma's regime!
Portland's Burma refugee committee and Burma freedom supporters will be gathering in downtown Portland across from Pioneer Courthouse Square (on SW Broadway in front of Nordstrom's) on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 4:00. This location is easy to find and reach in spite of construction downtown. The bus and Max go there.

Please join our Burma refugee community, many of whom are recent arrivals from border refugee camps
and some of whom are veterans of the 1988 Democracy Uprising, as they gather to show solidarity with the Buddhist monks, nuns and other people of all religions who are putting their very lives on the line in the struggle for freedom in Burma. It will mean a lot to the refugees and word of these international support demonstrations does get back into Burma.

The monks and nuns of Burma chanted for compassion for all living beings. This means you. One way to repay their prayers is to stand with the Burma refugee community right here in Portland.
