Regarding Noble Resolve

8/10/07 naval vessel spotted at Port of Portland docks-maybe part of Noble Resolve nuke exercise?
While I was at lunch break on 8/10, I was sitting outside the Gunderson lunch room on the south bank of the Willamette, across from a Port of Portland facility. I saw an unidentifiable navel vessel, smallish, uniform battleship grey, apart from the blue and yellow bands encircling the stack. I was only able to make out numbers on the bow, either 23 or 28. No other markings, flags or symbols were visible, and I only wish I had my binoculars with me. Based on the projected blast pattern from "The Day After" Report as seen on www.lonestaricon.com, I am thinking this may be part of the exercise to come.

Try google searching "Noble Reserve" and "Operation Noble Reserve" and you will see that there are next to no hits. Webcrawler offers hardly anything either (like 16 articles). With all of the Internet buzz going on about it, you would think that you would see more info on it but there is not.
That is pretty fucking odd. Lets all try to spread the word to as many other venues we can...

Has everyone checked out the yahoo group Portland-Nuclear-Inquest yet?
There is a lot of information, ideas, actions, etc there on this issue.

I don't know which PofP dock number, but it is directly across the Willamette River from Gunderson, and due SE from the Burlington Northern rail bridge. The dock is NW of a large vessel that resembles a tanker (in my mind) named Ocean P(I am blanking on the rest of the word). If one takes NW Yeon to NW 23rd, turns R onto 23rd, and stops at the light, there is an entrance to two terminals for PofP, #1 and #2, if my memory serves me correctly. But the dock I speak of is on the opposite side of the Willamette from Gunderson, which is further down NW Front, approximately 4350-4500 NW Front.

Those plates are all over Washington DC. They are issued by the State Department to foreign consular officers, whose official vehicles are part of the embassy, and hence, foreign soil. This particular plate, with an "AF" prefix, is for a Japanese diplomat.
