911 Conspiracies: Can We Trust the Hearst Company’s History Channel

Sunday, August 12, 2007, Hearst Publication's History Channel presents its two-hour documentary on 911 Conspiracies, a likely follow-up to Hearst's Popular Mechanics Magazine's March 2005 911 Hit Piece, "Debunking 911 Lies." The following article covers why serious 911 researchers are bracing for another government disinformation piece and why you should investigate the events of September 11 for yourself.

On Sunday, August 12, 2007, one month before the 6th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001 the History Channel, majority owned by Hearst Publishing, is scheduled to air its two-hour special about September 11 entitled "911 Conspiracies."
The program promises an interview with the editor-and-chief of Hearst's Popular Mechanics Magazine, James Meigs, to refute many of the "conspiracy theories."
I would ask you to consider why many serious 911 researchers, knowing that Hearst Publications is the majority owner of both Popular Mechanics and the History Channel, and being familiar with the March 2005 Popular Mechanics hit piece, "debunking 911 Lies", are bracing for a biased and misleading disinformation piece which will attempt to sell the government's official story about what happened on September 11 to its audience of 10 million or more viewers. You can expect the views of Hearst's History Channel to support the views of their Popular Mechanics article 'Debunking 911 Lies" and its follow up book, "Debunking 911 Myths."
I hope whatever you are told by the History Channel documentary, "911 Conspiracies", you commit to also studying and questioning for yourself what happened on September 11. You can go online and see many good documentaries on video.google.com and youtube.com with first-hand footage, and you can listen to interviews with seasoned pilots, architects, scientists, and engineers who are speaking out against the official story. September 11 was not just a terrorist event. It was also an excuse made-in-heaven, the perfect Pearl Harbor-like event needed to advance the Bush Administration's goals both domestically and abroad. September 11 was used by the Bush Administration as the excuse for centralizing the power domestically in the hands of the president and under the police powers of the newly formed Homeland Security, the closest America has ever come to becoming a dictatorship. It was used overseas for two very profitable wars of conquest. The pretext of a lurking terror threat was used to pressure congress to quickly pass laws such as the Patriot Act which essentially destroys the Bill of Rights which allowed American's to petition government and remain secure that they would not be gulaged. The excuse: "Things are different after September 11." Yes, things are different, but what is going on? Many are unaware of the growing overlap between the monies that own and control the government and the monies that own and control the media. In fact, with Geroge Bush's administration, we have witnessed the merging of government and corporations into one system, what is called a fascist system. To view the controlled media and government as independent is very naïve.
What actually happened on September 11? Why was the government conducting a number of terror drills on September 11 which involved the very targets such as the Twin Towers and the Pentagon that were said to be attacked by the terrorists? If it is standard procedure to have the military intercept of a plane off course, then why didn't this happen on September 11? Do steel and concrete buildings fall straight down without the help of controlled demolition? What about the accounts of massive bombs going off at the base of the Twin Towers and WTC7? What caused the molten metal and extreme temperatures for weeks at the base of the fallen buildings? How did BBC World News accidentally report that WTC7 fell down 20 minutes before it happened? Do cell phones ring in planes the way they ring in restaurants and movie theaters when you forget to turn them off? Why not? What happened to the 100 tons of wreckage and two huge jet engines that should have been in the field in Pennsylvania and in the side of the Pentagon? Why did the Washington DC Envoy to Canada, Paul Cellucci, and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld both accidentally say Flight 93 was shot down? Why was the hole in the Pentagon so small? Why was Bush in a classroom reading "My Pet Goat" if America was under attack?
If you study what happened on September 11 as I have, I believe you will find that the entire official story from A to Z could take place only on the TV screen, in a movie, and in the imaginations of the people and could not and did not take place in reality. That is the power of the media, which reaches into every home, repeating its message over and over. Don't just assume because you saw the plane flying into the Twin Tower on TV that the official story about September 11 must be true. Find out the facts. September 11 was a made-for-TV psychological operation which was sold to the public by the very same controlled media which will now be hosting the documentary special " 911 Conspiracies."
To understand the concern about this upcoming History Channel special being more deliberate government disinformation, let's go back to March , 2005 when Hearst Publication's new staff at Popular Mechanics Magazine released its 911 Hit Piece, "Debunking 911 Lies." http://tinyurl.com/nsvar
This important looking article, published in a scientific sounding magazine that many remember from their youth as a respectable magazine, with a cover title suggesting that all questions about September 11 had been debunked, has become almost the Bible of September 11 for those in the public who trustingly assume you can judge a book by its cover and that the government and media are independent from each other and would never lie to the public.
But who was the senior researcher-writer for this Popular Mechanics hit piece? None other than the cousin of the head of Homeland Security and Bush crony, Michael Chertoff, whose agency with its massive powers and funding was created thanks to the events of September 11! Benjamin Chertoff, when asked by 911 researcher, Christopher Bollyn, what his relationship was to the head of Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, responded that he wasn't sure. On coast-to-coast AM with Art Bell the first week of March, 2005, Ben Chertoff again repeated that he wasn't sure if he was related to Michael Chertoff, or not. But his mother, Judy, when called at her home, was proud to say that Benjamin Chertoff, her son, was a cousin of Michael Chertoff.
And there is more you should know about Popular Mechanics and the History Channel: they are both owned by Hearst Publications, a company with a reputation for hyping dangers to promote government wars, notably the Spanish American War, where the name Hearst Publications became synonymous with yellow journalism.
Also, according to March 9, 2005 a caller to the Alex Jones Radio Show, the summer before the March 2005 Popular Mechanic's 911 hit piece, there was a big shake up at Popular Mechanics and the caller's friends, who had worked for Popular Mechanics for 10 years, were given one day to empty their desks and to get out. Popular Mechanics brought in a new staff including the then roughly 24-year-old Benjamin Chertoff. James Meigs was hired as editor-in-chief just before this shake up of the Popular Mechanics staff.
When you see the name Popular Mechanics, are you assuming that the article about September 11 was compiled by a former editor of a movie star magazine, Premiere Magazine ( now Popular Mechanic's editor-in-chief James Meigs) and the cousin of the head of Homeland Security ( leader researcher-writer Benjamin Chertoff) or are you assuming that experienced and authoritative scientists and engineers put the article together? The lead researcher of the article, Benjamin Chertoff, was not a scientist or engineer. He was a 1998 high school graduate and recent college graduate, who had worked as a journalist in Iraq for a year before landing his big job at Popular Mechanics.
Alex Jones of http://www.infowars.com one of the top 911 researchers in the world, related on his radio show that when he was contacted by the seven-member Popular Mechanics research team for their piece, the researchers were so amateurish that Alex Jones called the magazine to confirm they actually worked for Popular Mechanics.
In its article "Debunking 911 Lies", Popular Mechanics claims to have contacted 300 experts in compiling their report, but if you look at the list of the most helpful parties at the end of their article, you will note that most them work for the government and many of the names are spokespersons for the government and not scientists or engineers. How likely do you think it would be for a government worker or any business getting government funding to disagree with the White House's official story, especially in the political climate after September 11?
With Hearst Publication's History Channel reporting on the events of September 11, would you expect the report to be any more balanced than their March 2005 Popular Mechanics 911 hit piece "Debunking 911 Lies" and its follow-up book, "Debunking 911 Myths: Why Conspiracy Theories Can't Stand Up to the Facts", whose director-in-chief has a background in Hollywood movie stars and whose lead researcher is the cousin of the head of Homeland Security?
Do you really know what happened on September 11? Don't just assume because you saw the plane hit the North Twin Tower that the official story is true. There is a lot more to the story.
The government is counting on your trust of the world of Hearst's Popular Mechanics and the History Channel so you will not actually investigate for yourself what happened on September 11. Please insist on doing your own investigation of the evidence. If you do, you will find a mountain of evidence, and you may agree with me that 911 was an inside job staged by those at the highest levels of government for political motives and out of greed and lust for power.
Who is in a better position than the government to stage terror, for example within a planned terror drill and let the terror drill go live, or to continually frighten the public with released stories about terror threats broadcast into every home with the controlled media? Unless what really happened on September 11 is exposed, it is likely government will be tempted to use terror or threat of terror for political purposes such as before presidential elections or for whatever else they have planned that needs a good excuse, such as war with Iran or the North American Union.
