So very sorry for the late information but I too just got a heads up on this.
The National Animal Interest Alliance, NAIA, is holding a three day conference starting tomorrow, April 20, and continuing through Sunday, April 22, at the Red Lion Hotel, 100 Columbia, in Vancouver, Washington.
The NAIA, headquartered in Portland, is an anti animal rights organization whose membership consists of and supports hunters, breeders, fur farmers, pet stores, vivisectors, rodeos, puppy mills, zoos and other venues for animal exploitation and abuse. Patti Strand, NAIA founder and president, resides in SE Portland with her husband Rod.
Because I received no advanced notice of this conference I am unable to provide a list of guest speakers. Several years ago when they held a similar conference in Portland they had speakers from the FBI and USDA.
I find it troublesome that this group can sponsor a three day conference and the animal rights community is not even aware of it. Is it intentional on their part this is being held during World Week for Animals in Labs when most people will be focused on OHSU/Primate Center?
I am hoping at least one individual can find the time to stop by the hotel during this conference and pick up any and all information available and post their findings on this site. Any information gathered is better than none.

".... These tactics include firebombing, burglary & attempted murder. They include the covert infiltration & takeover of organizations with differing views - redirecting their agendas & treasuries, corporate raider style, in the process. A real insight into the workings of the minds of true fanatics. These people are shown to be the latest hate group, pure & simple, & the animal issue is just a vehicle to disguise its character."
