10,000 Take Protest to Pentagon on March 17

Heavily armed State Police were threatened by a young coed as Students for a Democratic Society tried to cross a bridge on the way to the Pentagon.
This is a photo by Stanley W. Rogouski of a standoff with Virginia State Police as more than 10,000 protesters converged on the Pentagon. Members of Students for a Democratic Society were targeted for a hard time by defenders of the empire who blocked their path at a bridge on the way to the building.

As the heavily armed troopers donned masks and prepared cannisters of chemical weapons, the students decided to end the stand off by regrouping at another site.

Photos of ordinary people publicly stating their case against Bush and his war have been posted at New York Indymedia.
