Portland Legal Defense Network

We have a count of between 14 and 17 arrests (so far) from today's protest. One person has been released. The other people have not yet been charged and we have not heard from them in custody. I would expect that many of them will be released late late tonight, or in the wee hours of the morning. Charges will be posted and the arestee's will be referred to the National Lawyers Guild for help finding representation.

We have heard reports that A LOT of people were pepper sprayed today. If you have video or pictures or an account of what happened, I believe that the NWCRC will want to see it. It can help in the criminal defense of the people who were arrested. It can also help to build a case for policy change, in regards to the use of pepper spray. The information you have could be useful, so please give them a call at 503-295-6400.
