LEFT TO DIE: The Causeway Concentration Camp

Vanvouver Film Night, Tues., Nov. 28. 7:00pm - 8:30pm.
The struggle for justice and understanding is infinite, so let us roll..
Tues., Nov. 28. 7:00pm - 8:30pm.

Thousands of survivors of Hurricane Katrina who were promised refuge were instead taken to a freeway intersection, where they were penned in by machine-gun-toting military personnel and subjected to indescribably inhumane treatment. See and hear first-hand accounts from survivors of what they refer to as the Causeway Concentration Camp.

This film was produced by Elizabeth Atly, an award-winning video producer and a long-time Portland peace activist. She will attend the screening and be available to answer questions from the audience after the film.

Location: St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 426 E. 4th Plain Blvd, Vancouver. (Parking off F Street)
Time: Doors open at 6:45 PM. Movie starts at 7:00. Discussion following.
Open to all. Admission free. Donations to cover costs appreciated.
This is a Vancouver for Peace event.

I didn't realize it was showing on the other side of the river also or I'd have mentioned it yesterday-see my review downthread.
It really is important to see this if you have any doubts about how the government and corporations have no problem taking advantage of a really terrible situation to advance their agenda. Also a good idea to support our local videoistas like Elizabeth!

How can I see this film? 01.Jan.2007 19:20

As one of the "machine-gun-toting military personnel" sent to the I-10/Causeway medivac lz I would be very intersted in seeing this film. I live in Baton Rouge, are there going to be any showings in Louisiana?
