useful legal tools--we need to use them

In solidarity with a related article "New Declaration ( http://portland.indymedia.org/en/2006/11/348507.shtml)," I am reposting these parts of U.S. law, which is our concrete ticket to taking back our country. If these legal concepts I have posted are our ticket, then the article "New Declaration," is THE EVENT.
Check this out, its really pretty simple..............
this is the preamble to the declaration of independence, which states that the people have the right to change or abolish any form of government, and also to instutute new governments.
I have also included the text of the 10th Amendment, which crystalizes this right into a legal format. The 10th Amendment affirms that The People have not given the government the power to overpower us. The 10th Amendment, intended to keep government under wraps, affirms that the people are in control. There's no wonder it was the last word.....


"The Declaration of Independence of the Thirteen Colonies
In CONGRESS, July 4, 1776

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. Tenth Amendment - Reserved Powers

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Scope and Purpose

"The Tenth Amendment was intended to confirm the understanding of the people at the time the Constitution was adopted, that powers not granted to the United States were reserved to the States or to the people....The amendment states but a truism that all is retained which has not been surrendered.

Me talking again. I am just part of "the people," and I do not know everything about the law, nor do I want to know everything about the law. I know enough, and so do we all. We know that the government was set up to support our freedoms, not back us into corners. We know that we can handle our own business, and that we are not children who need someone to tell us what to do. We know that a government which harms its own people and goes against our wishes is criminal and treasonous. We know that we gave the government life, and we can take it away.
We are the adults here, and we need to get our government back, even if we need to dramatically change it. We don't have to use force, we just have to state the law, which is the voice of the people. If the people we need to fire don't want to take their pink slip, then we may have to get tough.
But the point is that we have legal tools for putting this ship back on course. It's all laid out in the above text. We don't need any more legal text than that.
If we did, we will write it ourselves.
Lefty lawyers, step forward, you have deserted us for long enough. You are lefty lawyers because you are supposed to help, not harm. Otherwise, we will have to go through this process ourselves, the farmers, the mothers, and everybody who runs with scissors. And if lefty lawyers will not help us, then I believe when the laws are re-written, then we will not give much room for lawyers at all.
So let's do it, and let's dance on the tables and in the streets!!!!!!!!!!!!
