Sadly, another police shooting

A 62 year old homeless man has apparently been shot in Vancouver.
I have just heard about this, so details are sketchy, but apparently a homeless man has been shot and killed by police in Vancouver. The man and his friend found a grey plastic toy gun a few days ago, and somehow the police came upon the victim while he was holding that gun and perhaps a beer in some bushes in Vancouver. That is all I have heard so far.

Toy guns can lead to trouble if the police catch site of them. Some are so realistic that there is no way to tell them from real guns. This seems to be what happened today.

I sure hate to see these types of postings but I appreciate you keeping us informed.

I've been a bartender for years, and that old urban legend about people acting crazy when the moon is full is pretty true. But I noticed something else when I moved here to Oregon. It seemed to me that people here (or at least in the bar) went wild in the fall, too. I used to joke about it calling the "fall rut."

So is that what's up with all these rash of cop shootings every fall? Remember last year Clackamas County deputies (with a little help from their buds up here in Sandy) shot and killed 4 people between September and the end of the year. Is the testosterone running high, or what?

MH...I never thought about that! The rash of shootings in the Fall that you have mentioned is brilliant. This is HUNTING season! I have a real problem with 'hunting' now that folks don't have to have the meat to survive. I live out in the country and am in serious jeopardy if I so much as walk up the hill behind my home at this time of year. It seems that most cops, not getting enough gun fun on the job, are also big on hunting down and killing everything that moves out in the woods. Could this be what happens to them at this time of year? Blood lust? I never put that together...but what a horrifying thought.

Toy guns aren't the problem, the cops with guns are the problem!
