Today, I found an editorial in the Sandy Post, which reinforces my distaste for this community, even though I know that I cannot paint all of it's citizens with the same brush. It seems that the Post's circulation director was recently challenged (at the Oktoberfest) for what the complainer called excessive reporting regarding Fouad's senseless murder. The complainer, it seems, was tired of seeing his name in print. WHAT? He or she was TIRED of hearing how an officer from the Sandy Police Department first tasered, then shot and killed an unarmed, naked, burned and injured man? Tough shit I say. If you think you are tired now, little insensitve person, just you wait until you finish paying the bills for what that asshole, Bergin did. Bet you will REALLY be tired then. It is the fault of this complaining "citizen," and all other "citizens" who do not DEMAND accountability from the people that they arm and turn loose on our streets to terrorize the real citizens. When you allow the cops to get away with riding rough shod on the rights of the people, you encourage escalation of these violent acts, you get Fouad Kaady (this one is going to cost you, dear citizen), you get James Chasse, you get Lukus Glenn, in short, dear tired citizen, you get fucked. Sooner or later, you will learn what the rest of us know, you have a group of power happy thugs with guns out there, who feel perfectly protected when they senselessly pummel a victim to death. Hell, the coppers that killed Jose Mejia Poot (armed with a fire extinguisher, in a mental hospital) were even given AWARDS for heroism under fire. Wake up.
While I do not ordinarilly pimp for Pamplin Press, here is a link to the article mentioned above, for those who require "documentation:" link to www.sandypost.com
