Friends of the Multnomah County Library needs volunteers for three-hour shifts at the big annual used book sale, Oct. 6-9. The huge fall sale will be held at 1635 NE Sandy Blvd.
The event is fun, and volunteers have a good time greeting patrons at the door, stocking book tables and counting items for patrons' purchases. Helpers get snacks!
More than 100,000 donated good quality books, tapes, CDs and DVDs are offered. And proceeds go to support public library programs and purchase of new books and materials.
