Euro Judeo Christianity

Saint Dominic de Guzman of Dominican fame,

Euro-Judeo-Christianity

by

Millions of Jews in Europe died,
Only by fools or fascists would that be denied,
This twentieth century high-tech genocide,
But the historians and governments story-don't believethem-they lied,
Just blame it on their pseudo-Christian pride,
Because the Christians and Allies who won the war,
Rewrote history to separate Christianity from the Nazi horror,
They'll tell you the Nazis weren't Christians,
That they worshipped astrology and Norse pagan religions,
This should upset many modern Germans,
Who must still pay taxes for their Christian sermons,
But no Norse pagans held a grudge or accused the Jews of killing Thor,
So Christian fundamentalists should 't defame the Norse gods anymore,
And for many years of European history,
It was Christian aristocrats who worshipped astrology,
Saint Dominic de Guzman of Dominican fame,
In the 13th century put all heretics to flame,
And the Catholic Church is still proud of his name,
With their barbaric old Testament theology,
They were just Nazis without the technology,
And when the Russians unleashed their pogroms,
It was again Christian mythology that drove their
psycho-neural programs,
I guess I could go on and on,
The list of atrocities is pretty Iong,
Then we get to World War II,
And we all cry , 'Hitler killed the Jew ',
It wasn't a Christian me and it wasn't a Christian you,
But Hitler was once a little boy,
In Christian Austria he searched for joy,
And asked his mom to buy him a toy,
It was there he learned to hate,
That the Jews were going to run his state,
So his culture sealed his fate,
You should face it Fundamentalist Christians,
It was Hitler - not Jesus - who died for your sins,
And Jesus who really was a Jew,
Would be amazed and outraged by you,
The German Jews lived a mythology too,
That aided and abetted this false Christian view,
They thought that they were Semites too,
They couldn't separate their religion,
From a true historic vision,
They took literally what their religion told them,
And just said, " Next year in Jerusalem",
So German Jews just to inform ya,
Your historic home was probably Khazaria,
It was probably in the Caucasus,
It's all just a big historic mess,
All Jews aren't Semites and all Semites aren't Jews,
And Christian Moslem and Jewish fundamentalists are just bad news,
It doesn't matter whose their savior, .
Language and religion are both just a learned behavior,
Now the Christian fundamentalists support the Jewish state,
Why? Because they hope it will bring about
Armageddon - they can't wait,
Just chalk up this apocalyptic Judeo-Christian vision,
To man and his confused religious symbols in collision.

Peagans, Wiccans, Druids. Allegedly Christian folks were even worse to them. it has only been a few decades since they have even felt safe enough come out of thier closets. Would helping Wiccans or peagans be murderous thieves of Syrian lands clean the blood of wiccans and peagans off the hands of Christians???

Facile to blame Christians 04.Aug.2006 18:29

heard it since high school

I like the poem and all, but it's really so facile to be slamming Christianity all the time, blaming it for all the earth's sins. (Or Islam, or Judaism, or whatever.) The problem is us.

Seriously. It doesn't matter which religion we want to blame. The truth is, every religion can be beautiful, and any religion can be co-opted by power mad human egos and used for evil. From Hindu Brahmans who oppress women and practice rampant classism, even though the religion itself is one of the most beautiful expressions of understanding that I have ever encountered, to the born-again "Christian" boneheads on TV begging for money and spewing out hate, even though that goes against everything Jesus ever taught... See, the problem is not "out there." It's not this religion or that one, this system or that. It's us. It's within all of us. All of us have the ability to rise above this, but all of us also have this constant temptation to abuse each other with whatever tools are at our disposal. Power tends to bring ut the worst in us, and what could be more powerful than claiming power over other peoples' souls? So religion tends to attract those who want that power, and who would use it unwisely and to their own advantage.

It would be much more useful for each of us to look inward and deal with the problems that lurk within, rather than poiting the same desperate fingers outside all the time, at someone else's religion. It's not them. It's us.
