This is Zsofie the $5,000 puppy mill rescue...
This picture was taken about 6 weeks after the auction. Zsofie weighted just 18 pounds, she had worms, fleas and a broken front paw that healed unset. Her ears were infected. Though she just turned two her teeth looked like those of a 7-10 year old dog. Though she was two year old she was not house trained and had never been socialized to people. hough she was kept in an unheated barn (with 193 other breeding dogs) she was shaved to the skin in January for the auction. I can only add on photo, but she is doing so much better now. She weighs 28 pounds, loves to play with the other dogs here (currently we have seven) Zsofie has learned some house manners and is slowing starting to trust us.
