All Out to Confront Nazis and the Klan in Southeast Wisconsin
In recent months white supremacists have tried their hardest to gain a foothold in southeast Wisconsin. Congressman James Sensenbrenner spreads his xenophobic hate from a district just outside of Milwaukee. Recently a group started as White Revolution (now the Nationalist Coalition) has begun active recruiting; Neo-Nazi skinhead gangs have come out of hiding, and a memorial dedicated to Hitler has been built. Now, the National Socialist Movement (of Toledo riot fame) has decided that they will come and stir up even more tensions.
Wisconsin anti-racists will not allow them to achieve their goals and we call all anti-racists to come here and help us show this scum that they are not welcome anywhere.
On the evening of Friday, August 25th these Nazis and their allies will have a meeting at the heavily contested memorial to Adolf Hitler near Elkhorn WI. This hall was founded by a former Waffen SS member who claims that the Nazis never killed anyone person in the holocaust, that Germany did not start World War 2, and the Hitler was an amazing dancer.
At this meeting the NSM will discuss strategy, tactics and hate speech for the next day. This is the first meeting ever to be held at this cess-pool of ignorance, and if not effectively countered could start a trend of racist pilgrimages to the site.
On the next day, Saturday, August 26th,at 2pm the NSM will hold an anti-immigration rally on the steps of the state capital in Madison. Their rhetoric will embolden the racists that attend. Emboldened fascists are dangerous fascists and unless we confront them they will not stop at only words.
This threat to our communities cannot be ignored as some groups have proposed. We cannot sit idly by with our heads in the sand while the extreme right organizes. It is our duty as anti-racists to never allow Nazis to gain a foothold anywhere. We can fight them now, or we can lose to them later.
