Norm Santana to urge Portland City Council to send impeachment resolution to Congress

Norm Santana will address the Portland City Council July 19, 2006, at 9:30 am in the Council Chamber, Portland City Hall, 1221 SW 4th. Mr. Santana will ask the council to send the impeachment resolution before it to Congress.
This is a call to all citizens who support the petition drive to impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney to come down tomorrow morning to show their support.

Mr. Santana's appeal is the fourth the Council will have heard since it received the citizens petition May 10th. The petition asks the Council to send Congress a resolution of support for the initiation of impeachment hearings. Citizens and governmental bodies can petition Congress to begin impeachment proceedings against federal officials using Jefferson's Rules.

At the Council's next meeting, July 26th, Mr. Randal S. Davis will speak in support of the citizens petition.
