Earlier we requested letters in support of Jeff Hogg's motion with regard to his noncooperation with the grand jury. 2 or 3 people drafted letters that they emailed to me, but his attorney, Paul Loney really needs them mailed to him with signatures. For those of you that drafted a letter already, please print out your letter, and sign it with pen, and then mail it to Paul Loney, AAL, 3430 SE Belmont St #101, Portland, OR 97214.
If you haven't written a letter yet, but know Jeff and are willing to do so, the letter should be addressed to Judge Hogan, and should indicate why you believe Jeff's ethical beliefs regarding resisting political grand juries will not falter in the face of incarceration (jail will not scare him into cooperating with the grand jury). Jail will not coerce him into testifying, and his principles are so strong that you believe he will not change his mind and should therefore be let out of jail (type of thing). The standard the court uses is: will jail coerce this person into complying with the court's order to answer the grand jury's questions. If not, they must release him because jailing him would be punishment, not coercion.
Draft it, you can email it to Paul if you want him to give you edits or feedback, but then you must MAIL the HARDCOPY with the pen signature.
THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE IMMEDIATELY. PAUL WILL BE FILING THESE MOTIONS BY NEXT WEEK!!!!!!
