Come Support Impeachment at PDX City Council Wednesday

City Council will hear Impeachment Resolution speaker this Wednesday morning. Take off an hour to show the kind of support for this resolution that has gained it passage in dozens of other cities—including San Francisco. Berkeley just voted to put impeachment on the November 7 ballot. This resolution, if passed, will be sent as a petition to the U.S. House of Representatives as the first order of business when the House (hopefully Democratically controlled) reconvenes January 3.
If you're for impeachment of Bush & Cheney, come down to City Hall (5th & Main) Wednesday morning at 9:30 to hear David Ibbotson, a Korean war veteran, urge the City Council to pass the resolution to impeach B&C that's been on their desks since May 10.

Commissioner Erik Sten says he'll put it to the vote if two others on the Council will support it—and he'd like to see a chamber full of impeachment supporters to see that most Portlanders support this move. Heavy support by citizens have resulted in passage by those other city and town councils.

Come on down and spend an hour to show your support for impeaching B&C.

Or call or email to urge these commissioners vote for this resolution::
