earthquake possibility for PNW area over next couple of weeks

just an 'FYI' for your personal consideration.
www.urbansurvival.com/week.htm is reporting the "possibility" of a major quake in the PNW region possibly from N. Vanc Island, BC southwards to the Southern Oregon Coastal section in the next couple of weeks (through Sept 21st). Another link for consideration:  link to standeyo.com

A 5.5 magnitude quake was reported in the location of Queen Charlotte Islands today. The RAT ISLANDS, ALEUTIAN ISLANDS, ALASKA had a 6.8 last week on 06/14/06( http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/eqinthenews/2005/uszhcb/) along with MANY smaller magnitude quakes.  http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/eqinthenews/2005/uszhcb/) along with MANY smaller magnitude quakes.  link to earthquake.usgs.gov (This same area had a historic quake of 8.7 in Feb 1965.)

I don't know if this type of information is of interest to this readership (I was just reading the article on the implosion of the WTC) but felt I should post this information for your consideration.
Do with this information as you wish. I know that I have family in the Longview, WA and Warrenton, OR areas. I have notified all those that I care about of this 'potential' possibility.

IF it comes to pass, depending on the magnitude, many many lives may be harmed or lost. (Activity on St. Helens is ramping up a bit also with a recent 3.2 magnitude quake and steam/ash emissions)

On another note, about 4,000 govt leaders went underground on Monday the 19th for drill intended to prepare the US Govt for an event more catastrophic than 9/11 read it here:  link to freeinternetpress.com

just an 'fyi'
thank you for your consideration

"next couple of weeks (through Sept 21st)"... 21.Jun.2006 02:18

??????

umm, today is June 21st.

meaning that the "next couple of weeks" would amount to approximately the middle of July (through the 15th) at the max...

Earthquake??? 21.Jun.2006 03:20

well lets be honest Cascadia could have a major earthquake at any moment and beyond

We should have been prepared years ago, but hey the race to keep up with the Jones was far more important.

So whenever this mega-quake hits (if the Fascists are still in power) imagine the streets of Portland, Eugene, Seattle, Olympia and everywhere patrolled by BlackWater and DynCorp. You want to prepare then prepare for martial law like New Orleans was not for Katrina.

You were warned, we were warned, they are just waiting:

Cascadian Subduction Zone 22.Jun.2006 11:47

Dr. Know

Well, about 20 miles off the west coast of America, extending from Alaska down to N. California is a massive fault called the Cascadia Subduction Zone. Here the Pacific Plate collides with the North American land mass and is driven down below the earths crust and into a molten inferno. Historically, huge 8.0+ earthquakes occur here, as proven by geological evidence along the coast and into the coastal mountain ranges. It's a more stable fault than the notorious and lateral San Andreas and Hayward faults in California, which rub against each other laterally, but when it gives it has the potential to be much more devastating.

More interesting is that there has been a huge increase in geological activity in recent months with minor earthquakes and volcanic eruptions taking place around the world. One theory that they don't teach in school, but has been endorsed by people like Einstein, is that Earth doesn't slowly grind its way through changes over millenia. Rather, Planet Earth goes through periods of enormous catastrophe with infrequent yet huge shifts in plate techtonics. This supported by evidence that evolution isn't a steady state phenomenon, but occurs in huge infrequent leaps due to traumatic changes in Earth's climate. Even religion and mythology support this explanation, with Noah's Ark, Atlantis, etc.

Now consider that we are approaching a period of prophesy as recorded by Mayans, Hebrews, etc., where such cataclysmic changes are supposed to happen again.
