Support the Troops & Commander -- Bold War Crimes In Iraq

U.S. troops in Haditha, according to a U.S. army investigation, forced children against a wall and shot them to death. According to neighbors, the girls in the family of Younis Khafif were 14, 10, 5, 3, and 1 years old. They pleaded for their lives (maybe not the 1 year old, who was simply crying).
The war crimes of Bush / Rumsfield and collaborators within and without the country now include, just off the top:

1. Locking hundreds of prisoners of war in Afganistan in steel containers and letting them die without water in 120 degree desert sun (the International Red Cross investigated and substantiated this charge.

2. Firebombing Faluja with white phosphorus, prohited internationally as a war crime when used as an offensive weapon.

3. Systematic war crimes at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq.

4. Continuing war crimes at Guantanamo prison in Cuba.

5. Probable (perhaps not proven) murder and treason in orchestrating the 911 attacks as a "red flag" operation to generate public support for new wars.

6. Shooting children in the head at Haditha, and other communities all over Iraq.

We need a judicial body that will go after these brave shooters of children in their nightgowns. Let's get the U.N. to to get off its rear and make the needed arrests.

Maybe a few will serve three years' house arrest like Lieutenant "Rusty" Calley did, and then open their own jewelry store near a big military base - but not near Fort Benning - that's Rusty's rotten turf.

Of course, if the ones who are really responsible for Haditha, and the quarter million other Iraqis who have died in the first three years of this abominable aggression, were lined up and shot, no lowly pawns of captains, lieutenants, sergeants, or enlisted men would have to die - much less the children of Haditha, who were only guilty of living in the house-street-town-country of their and their parents' birth.

I believe that international intervention is perhaps the only way BushCo can be stopped. This should be discussed.

I am with a group that is trying to get City Council to adopt a Resolution of Impeachment against Bush and Cheney, using Jefferson's Manual, Section LIII, sec. 603. Regrettably, it seems that the commissioners are weak-kneed on standing up for the Country, preferring to focus on local issues, but if people start calling and demanding this local initiative...we might be able to restrain King George by demanding Congressional oversight, regardless of the GOP majorities!!
