Actions at the Port of Olympia tonight May 30th

The protest against the militarization of our port will be continuing tonight. We are meeting at 4pm at 4th and Plum in downtown Olympia.
The Military ship is currently in the port and is loading weapons as we speak. High tide is at 1030pm so the ship is unable to leave utnil at least 9pm (probably later).

It is highly advised that you wear synthetic clothing, preferably rain gear as your outer layer. do not wear contacts if you can avoid doing so. the cops have been using a lot of pepper spray and even if you don't intend on giving them a reason to spray you that doesnt mean you will not be caught in the cross fire. avoid clothing of cotton and fleece as they are highly absorbent.

bring noise makers, bikes, bottles of water (for washing out your eyes) signs candles, flags, crosses, anything you can think of to get your message across.
have fun, be safe, see you in the streets
Amazing People! 30.May.2006 22:38

Den Mark, Vancouver

I'm the guy who had blue Earth flag & green Justice flag. It was great being with you today. You did the radical progressive movement proud. Thanks to all who offered yourselves for inevitable arrest, today & last week. Everybody conducted him/herself with intelligence & passion. Amazing people! That's why i lost my cool with the jerk from KING 5 when i heard him speak the words "outpouring of violence" into his mic, in reference to you & your removal of that gate. He obviously lives in a comfy little trundle bed if he thinks that your strength & passion & courage were violent. You inspired me. In my 45 years of street actions, this was one of the best. Peace to you, always!
