ALL YOUR PHONE CALLS ARE TRACED BY THE NSA- EVERY SINGLE ONE!

Privacy? Fergeddaboutit!
So go Google the New York Times right now. There it is on the front page. The NSA has been tracing and cataloguing EVERY SINGLE DOMESTIC CALL MADE WITHIN THE USA. This includes every phone company except Qwest. God bless Qwest. I'm sure they'll be getting a lot of new business this week. Is there anything the Bush regime hasn't been LYING about? Impeach NOW!!! (Of course Hillary's been saying what a great guy George is. After all, Bill & GHW are such goooood friends these days). Just another constitutional buttwipe from the neo-con shitheads.

Flood the Senate with calls 11.May.2006 11:42

I called both Oregon Senators today. Let them know that this is outrageous and you aren't going to tolerate it.

It was actually USA Today that broke the story this morning, not the Times.

All the more amazing that they would bother compiling all that info, since any terrorist with half a brain or more communicates with a bag full of prepaid throwaway cell phones, which tends to defeat data mining efforts.

Blessing Qwest?? 11.May.2006 17:29

Last year, Bush said he had authorized the NSA to eavesdrop — without warrants — on international calls and international e-mails of people suspected of having links to terrorists when one party to the communication is in the USA.

Bush has no more legal authority to approve warrant-less eavesdropping
than he has to authorize ME to rob a bank or stab my neighbor in the back!

I wouldn't be so quick to bless Qwest. I doubt morality
and patriotism had much, if anything to do with their refusal.
It's more likely they fear a lengthy, expensive class-action lawsuit or worse.

They make no policies without PROFIT & LOSS being part of the equation.

Terrorists Just An Excuse 11.May.2006 18:17

People is the enemy

They're not after the terrorists! If they were, Osama would have been long dead by now. It's not the terrorists they want to check. It's us!

We are all on NSA's "party line." 14.May.2006 22:15

Of course the government continues to erase our privacy. But we never really had any. In the 1970's I was a Naval Reservist on duty at the communication facility at Wyhewa (spelling?) Hawaii. There we intercepted teletype communications and financial transactions by teletype. That meant that one could not send a telegram to ones mother with out some intelligence type looking it over and deciding if it was of National security interest.

Anything transmitted over the air can be intercepted and is intercepted by some military facility.

What privacy?
