Willie Baptist: formerly homeless father, Co-Coordinator of the University of the Poor and the Education Director of the Kensington Welfare Rights Union.

The Economic Human Rights Campaign (www.economichumanrights.org) has gained recognition in its efforts to shed light on the impact of Republican economic policies on the poor. Attendees will have the opportunity to find out about the history of the Campaign, learn how to document economic human rights violations, and attend breakout sessions with the speakers, as well as participate in a local Truth Commission to learn about economic human rights violations in our community. Local grassroots organizations will be participating and sharing information about their work to end poverty locally. Join us for this important event!
We need to engage those under economic assault and to deal with economic human rights to begin to force the discussion and debate about it. This will affect people's thinking and the morality of their heart.
