author: I.V. forest dweller
If the Bush Administration has their way, we will strip of trees and/or sell off all our public forestlands. This administration has taken their corporate raiding skills and applied them to the public realm. They have raided our retirement fund (S.S.) run up record deficits funneling funds to their membership, and now want to sell off public assists such as the trees, public lands, and ports so they can steal more. When will we stand up and say enough is enough.
Do not buy the lie of "forest restoration". Donato and other scientists from OSU found that logging in some areas of Biscuit destroyed 71 percent of the seedlings by churning up soil and burying them under debris, the team found. By falling trees and discarding their tops and branches, logging moved leftover fuel from the treetops to the ground, where it is in easier reach of future flames, causing increased fire risk.
RESIST!!!!! ACT UP!!!!! Join us in the I.V. in our effort to stop this insanity. Join us March 13, 2006 as we camp out at the Green Bridge in calibration of Joan Normans final arrest, and for gathering with interested groups and individuals in the area to kick off this
years campaign to stop the BLM IV old-growth and wilderness logging.
