Yesterday two more American environmentalists where arrested charged with
involvement in an ELF arson attack on Jefferson Poplar Tree Farm in May
2001. Their alleged involvement in this action is, according to the FBI,
part of the alleged over-arching conspiracy which has already seen eleven
North Americans indicted.

The latest people arrested in this on-going case are Nathan Block and
Joyanna Zacher. Like the others who have been charged with involvement in
the Jefferson Poplar Tree Farm arson, Nathan and Joyanna are facing fifteen
separate charges: Thirteen charges of arson (one charge for each vehicle and
building damaged by fire), one charge of attempted arson (against the
offices of Jefferson Poplar Tree Farm) and one "Use of a Destructive
Device". ELP supporters will be aware that the first 14 charges each carry
a sentencing range of 5-20 years. However the last charge carries a
mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years which can not be served concurrently
with any other sentence. This means if found guilty on all charges they
are looking at a mandatory minimum sentence of 35 years imprisonment and
possibly a lot longer.

Nathan's Birthday...send cards! 01.Mar.2006 10:16

Gumby Cascadia

I got an email from Nathan's mom today. She spoke to him on the phone last night. They have not been transferred, and will be at SeaTac FDC for two weeks before being transferred. Nathan's birthday is on Monday, so everyone send cards to the address above...and write to Joyanna too.

Remember!

DO NOT USE NICKNAMES!
DO NOT DISCUSS THEIR CASES!
Keep it safe and smart.Don't send cards with glitter, glue, or any other fancy stuff...keep it simple. Also, they both need some money on their books for commissary (this will help them maintain their vegetarian diets).

When writing to prisoners, remember:

-Keep it simple... white paper, blue or black ball point ink.
-Include your full name in the return address or your mail will be rejected. Also write your return address on the letter itself, as prisoners are not given the envelope.
-Do not include blank paper, stamps or envelopes. The prisoner will not receive them and your letter will be rejected. It is, however, nice to write a page-and-a-half letter so they can reuse the blank portion of the paper.

Send Postal money orders for their commissary to:
