Know Your Rights, Legal Observation and Jail Support Workshop

Have you been wondering, "Why are people getting arrested for chalk drawings and spitting on the sidewalk when bands of activists are allowed to run amuck, buck naked, with only g strings and anti-fur stickers on their nipples?!"

Well, even if you haven't, this free workshop is open to anyone wondering what rights they still might have as an activist, how to best protect em, and what to do if you wind up in the clink anyway. The event is being hosted by In Defense of Animals and you know what that means? Homemade vegan treats!

Dan Handelman from Copwatch will be the first presenter talking about 'Knowing Your Rights' as an activist and with him will be Paul Loney, a local lawyer, who has defended many activists in his career. Dan and Paul will be available to answer questions afterward.

Then Patrick from the Lewis & Clark Animal Law School will be talking about Legal Observing and Jail Support. With all the excitement at the fur demos lately, this information will be extremely helpful to anyone who is involved now or wants to be involved in the future in demonstrations.
