Occupier/Occupied is an independent video-duo documenting the impact of Occupation on younger generations. Filmed in Iraq six months after the U.S. invasion in 2003, the first video features interviews with young Iraqis still coming to grips with Occupation and is narrated by a young American confronting the legacy of U.S. policy in the Middle East. 28 minutes.
The second video features interviews with young Palestinians and Israelis moving into adulthood on the other side of a generations-old Occupation and now the Wall. An introduction to Occupation, this video covers curfew, home demolitions, and the growing peace movement inside Israel. 26 minutes. Sub-titles.
This is an independent, not-for-profit work of Another World Is Possible, a grass-roots project that uses art and multi-media to introduce young Americans to their counterparts on the other side of Occupation. DVDs are available for a suggested donation of $10- $25 to support future peacework in the Middle East and United States. Peace groups are welcome to use the videos for fundraisers, on public access channels, or as an educational tool in schools and communities.
