Pakistan Quake Victims In Cuba

Cuba also sent food, clothing, and other items to the
people in Pakistan.
Havana, Feb 13, 2006 (Prensa Latina) Pakistani victims of devastating October 8 quake arrived in Cuba to end a rehabilitation treatment started at field hospitals, Granma newspaper reports Monday.

The group, made up by six children, two girls and six men, will received their prostheses in the island.

Meanwhile, a specialized workshop is being stationed at a Cuban medical facility in the Pakistani village of Abbottabad to expand care for more people.

Over 80 patients are currently rehabilitating there with technical equipment and the assistance of orthopedists, psychologists, psychiatrists and physiotherapists.

According to Granma, the first 74 doctors and health staffers from the Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade that are offering medical help in Pakistan return to the Island.

Cuban health personnel arrived in Pakistan eight days after the killer earthquake last October 8.

"The American people should be proud of their generosity to others in time
of need," says pRez Bush.

The U.S. government, alluding to the goodwill of the American public, crowed
and strutted before the masses....that America had done her part by helping
the victims of the earthquake. The U.S. government sent one dozen WW2 era
canvas tents.

In spite of the propaganda hype spun by the White House, and parroted by CNN,
Faux News, etc., most of what the American people donated to help the quake
victims never got to the people it was intended to help.

This still seems to be a secret to some American people.
The Red Cross, United Way, the Salivating/Starvation Army -- all given money
to help the quake victims......but NOT one penny of that money went to help
the people in Pakistan.

When will the masses in "civilized" nations learn to be independent and free-
thinking -- instead of being slavishly obedient to oppressive government
systems?
