Boycott Google Today

Today people are pledging not to use Google in protest against their policy to filter out access to the internet to users in China.
Today users 0f search engines across the internet are asked not to use Google in protest against their policy to filter out access to the internet to users in China. By inhibiting search options for topics such as "Tibet", they have marginalized the deaths of over 1.25 million human beings and the continued personal & environmental suffering of Tibetans under Chinese domination.

One form of protest is offered by the Student for a Free Tibet. They have set up a site where on Valentine's Day you can "break up" with Google. They also offer alternative search engines to use.

To do so, please visit www.noluv4google.com.

Are all those planning to boycott Google also boycotting use of any Micro$oft software? MS has done far more than Google to assist the censorship of Chinese citizens.

Also, much more notice would help a lot with these kinds of campaigns. There are a lot of people who won't even see this news item until the boycott day is over.
