Listening to the numerous politicians talking about the aftermath of Hurricane
Katrina, and how every level of government, from county to federal, is doing
everthing it can to protect the public in case of further natural disasters,
it becomes obvious that their words amount to no more than a pile of buffalo
chips. The quite oft repeated mantra was "Obey all authorities. Call 9-1-1
for assistance. Wait for instructions from law enforcement official. Do not
attempt to take any action on your own. In case of further disasters officials
will be there to evacuate you and instruct you on what to do."
This so-called criticism by Republicans against Bush for his irresponsibility,
and Chertoff's self-incrimination for government laxity is a transparent effort
to appease the public.
Considering the rising "criticism" against G.W. Bush by many Republicans (and
Democrats), is this a possible coup d'etat by Cheney or other dictator-in-waiting?
