Pioneer Square Surveillance

Previously "Memo: Pioneer Square" I am reposting this piece because a friend told me that my title was not sufficiently specific to inform those who might want to read it.

The memo below was emailed to workers in a certain building that boarders Pioneer Square. I have omitted the name of the recipient and sender to protect anonymity. Thought folks might be interested.

The Portland Police have asked if they can have access to our NW corner stairwells for surveillance of the Square area. They will not be there all the time only when they suspect some activity that they wish to observe.

So if you see a uniformed Portland police person on your floor heading for the NW stairwell that is why they are there.

this info. presents the perfect reason to establish other alternative meetups rather than P.S.
NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT THE PORTLAND BUSINESS ALLIANCE HAS ITS NEFARIOUS FINGERS IN THE OPERATION OF THIS SPACE WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PUBLIC VENUE AND WAS PAID FOR IN PART BY PUBLIC DONATIONS ( see names on bricks throughout the square )
the public is charged upwards of $500 to use even a small portion of the square , this is bullshit , fuck the portland business alliance !!
