Fundraising appeal for Zachary Jenson

Zachary Jenson, Eric McDavid and Lauren Weiner were arrested in Auburn, California on January 13th and subsequently indicted on one count of conspiracy to destroy property by means of explosives or fire. This highly charged political case is a result of years of surveillance and infiltration of activist circles on the part of the government. The families of Eric and Lauren have been able to hire private attorneys, but that has not been the case with Zachary.

After feeling disappointed by his public defender Zachary has chosen hire a private attorney. Zach is facing 20 years in prison based on the unreliable word of an informant paid by the FBI. He needs an attorney with the proper experience and political orientation who can devote enough time to this difficult case. Zachary has selected an attorney who is willing to take his case and her retainer fee is $25,000. We understand this is a large sum of money, but we cannot raise it alone. We are asking that people organize fundraisers and donate as much as possible so that we can get Zachary the legal representation necessary to give him a fighting chance.

If you are organizing a fundraiser or would like to donate please contact Sacramento Prisoner Support at sacprisonersupport[at]riseup[dot]net
