Once again, cops get it wrong

A gresham couple, and their normal sized automobile were pulverized by a hummer yesterday, and the cops could find nothing to cite the operator of the hummer for.
The couple's Nissan Sentra broke down on the right shoulder of the freeway, along the on-ramp of I-84 at 238th Drive. The driver, Jose Solorio, 58, of Gresham, was calling his son for help on a cell phone when a Hummer H-2 trying to merge onto the highway crashed into his car.

The photos show a Nissan Sentra, which was pulverized, The rear bumper shoved through a mass of metal, which was totally unrecognizeable.

Since the vehicle was stopped (on the shoulder), but without lights, cops seemed to think that it was o.k. for the dumbass driving a "vehicle" large enough to have it's own gravity, to plough into the hapless victims at better than fifty five mph. I mean, how the hell you gonna stop a minor planet, if it is plunging onwardly on? WTF?

Cops in this area are clueless. No citation issued, or expected, since the victims were dead in the water, without lights, calling their son for help on the cell phone, when they were obliterated by a machine that has NO FUCKING BUSINESS ON A PUBLIC ROADWAY.

Maybe, if the driver had been naked, burned, injured, and unarmed, they could have killed him, but alas, no such luck.

What police agency responded? Gresham? Was the the Nissan completely in the shoulder at the time of impact?

Gresham couple killed when Hummer hits their stalled car

By KATU.com Web Staff
PORTLAND, Ore. - A Gresham couple was killed Monday morning after their small car developed problems and they pulled off the road near the 238th Street onramp onto Interstate 84.

Accident investigators say a Hummer rear-ended the couple's Nissan Sentra while it was pulled off onto the shoulder, and rode partially up onto the smaller vehicle.

The accident took place about 6:30 a.m. Monday and ODOT officials closed the onramp for several hours while investigators and highway crews worked at the scene.

Investigators say the Sentra apparently suffered an electrical failure and did not have its hazard lights on at the time of the accident.

Police say Jose Solorio, 58, and his wife, Felicitas Solorio, 52, were in the Sentra and were declared dead at the scene. Both were from Gresham.

Additionally, investigators say the couple were talking to a family member via cell phone when the accident took place.

The driver of the Hummer was identified as Harlan Wheeler, 40, of Rhododendron.

Investigators believe the Sentra had an electrical failure while on the road westbound. They say the Sentra was hit while the driver of the Hummer was attempting to merge from the onramp into westbound traffic .

Investigators say the Sentra may not have been able to pull completely off the road after the electrical failure, and the car was in an area of low visibility.

The Hummer had a large metal accessory bumper on the front end and had relatively minor damage compared to the Sentra, which lay crumpled against a concrete sound wall.

Investigators say the driver of the Hummer claims he was driving at or below the speed limit at the time of the collision.

It was dark at the time of the accident, and an investigation is continuing.

VERONICA SOLORIO

it is feb 7 2006 and the investigation is still not complete. deputy todd bright bill keeps telling the family that the da will probably not charge the other driver criminally for what he did to my parents. the ivestigator seems to not care. i am sure that if it would have been the other way around my father would be in jail. our family will do everything in our power to make the son of a bitch pay for what he did.

Local Police Investigate This Vehicular Homicide Based on Race 15.Mar.2006 17:06

This was no "accident". The driver was clearly at fault in this vehicular manslaughter of two innocent people. This man, Harlan Wheeler has emerged from the scene of the crime without citation without a single payment for his crime. This is the way it will be for the 40 something year old white male with money. The victims two mexicans from in the Wood Village area are mere extras to the police and this so-called investigation. It is a pity and should be an outrage to the comunity that such a racist investigation exists. These two people had lives and family and were meaningful more than anyone will ever know.....especially Harlan Wheeler and this team of "investigators".I am appalled and so should the community be as such.

To make worse of an already ugly situation, this fuck-wipe, Harlan Wheller, just hours later drove maniacally in and out of traffic and hit yet another victim. Although the accident was a back end collision and there were witnesses stating that the perpetrator was "weaving in and out of traffic recklessly almost hitting other cars" the jerk off was not cited other than having expired tags and no prrof of insurance. He actually recieved more discipline for this accident occuring less than 12 hours after killing two innocent people than for actually murdering two people. Hmmmmmmmm...the victim in case #2 was a white female...Hmmmm....makes one ponder the ugly truth about cops in the portland area.....RACIST in the worst way. There is absolutely no proof saying otherwise.
