cops buzzing the southeast 4 AM, Tuesday Jan 3 near powell and 39th
For about 30 minutes last night the cops blared their sirens and drove at least 60 mph through the southeast, not on 39th and powell but on neighborhood streets like tibbetts, brooklyn and kelly and 36th. These guys were hauling ass through neighborhoods disregarding the fact that it was 4 in the morning and every one was asleep. Anyone have an info, when I left at 6 there were still 2 cops at 35th and tibbetts, I went the other way and couldn't see what was going on. Total clusterfuck, SAY NO TO POLICE PRESENCE IN THE SOUTHEAST!

what it was 03.Jan.2006 18:15

what I heard

Armed robbery with a gun, followed by a pursuit of the robbers in that area. One bailed out of the car and ran into the yards, so he had to be looked for. Sorry for waking you.

relatively speaking

Thanks for not killing anybody, and for apologizing for the noise. And for caring what we think.

facts 05.Jan.2006 16:24

there

It was an armed robbery. The passenger bailed at one point when the car eluded the police. When the car was found again with no passenger the driver continued to elude. He threw the gun out of the car then was arrested after stopping a short time later, the gun was recovered. The passenger left his wallet behind. He was not caught or "recoged". There is now P/C out to arrest the passenger.

Robbers, Thugs, and Bad guys is what "I Want" the police to deal with.

The rest of what they ususlly do is uncalled for, hence the bad-mouthing

Walk a good line and protect and serve = Thanks and Encouragement
Hassling, killing citizens, shakedowns, knock n talk, etc = Bad-mouthing
