Hier are some pics from the Anti-WTO solidarity demo today in Berlin. There were about 50 people there, even though it was damn cold! Someone brought tea and soup, which was super. We started out with the Berlin Samba band playing a few tunes to warm us up, and then the loud speaker van began the tour down world famous Unter den Linden street. We passed the Russian Embassy (host of 2006 G8 summit) and the British Embassy (host of 2005 G8 summit), and talked about the responsibilities and failures of the G8, WTO, and the British and Russian governments in realtion to world poverty and trade problems. We ended up at the Brandenburg Gate, directly in front of the famous Hotel Adlon, where Michael Jackson almost dropped his baby 2 years ago. The hotel is owned by the Kempinski group, which also owns the hotel in Heilingendamm where the G8 will meet in Germany in 2007.

In Berlin several AktivistInnen met despite cold snow weather over against the conference of the world trade organization (World Trade Organization) and the G8 to protest. The fantastische act ion Sambaband trommelte hot rhythms, hot soup and beverages helped against the flakes. Even a troop of the rebellious clown army found us before the Brandenburger gate. On the moving demonstration information was passed on to the G8 2006 in pc. Petersburg (before the Russian message) and to the G8 summit 2007 in holy dam (before the hotel Adlon, Kempinski and group of find US) and to the past G8 summit in Scotland (before the British message). To the conclusion before the Brandenburger gate video tie-clips were pointed against the G8 ( http://www.raisedvoices.net).
At many places world-wide in the last days against the World Trade Organization, for example in Brazil, Indonesia, India, etc. was protetsiert and naturally locally in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile in Hong Kong...

Came to violent protests into Hong Kong, the heavily armed police used clubs, foaming pepper spray and water thrower with traenengas. According to agency reports 41 humans were hurt, 900 protesting are to have been vorueberregehend arrested. It succeeded to some protesting to overcome the police chains and arrive into the proximity of the meeting place, whereupon even the NGO representatives in the building complained about hurting eyes by the substantial tear gas employment outside.

The conference of World Trade Organization in Hong Kong is to end on Sunday. The countries of the south demand a completion of the export subsidies within the agriculture range from the countries of the north up to the year 2010, above all the European Union turn in the negotiations against it. A follow-up meeting could be fixed in March April 2006, there the World Trade Organization already two years behind their schedule is around the Vrhandlungsrunde to at the end of of 2006 to be terminated.
