Salvadoran Union Leader to Speak

Luis Wilfredo Berríos, a leader in SUTTEL, the Salvadoran communications workers' union, will speak about the role of the Salvadoran labor movement in the development of an alternative to the free trade model of corporate globalization, focusing on current work against the implementation of the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and the construction of a U.S.-sponsored police academy in El Salvador (ILEA).

PCASC se enorgullece en presentar a Luis Wilfredo Berríos, coordinador de
SUTTEL, el sindicato de trabajadores de comunicación en El Salvador.  Berríos
discutirá sobre el rol del movimiento sindical Salvadoreño en el desarrollo de
una alternativa al modelo neoliberal de libre comercio, enfocándose en el
trabajo que se gesta actualmente contra la implementación del Tratado de Libre
Comercio de Centroamérica (CAFTA) y la construcción de una academia policial
patrocinada por los Estados Unidos en El Salvador (ILEA).
