if Bush heads for Idaho should we call for a vigil there? It is within Cascadia.

does this mean 17.Aug.2005 19:02

moveon is shady

that the Democraatic Party now opposes the Global War on Extremism, formerly known as the endless war on terror?

Too bad moveon and company got involved-gives it a bad taste.

95 people at McMinnville protest 17.Aug.2005 22:49

ctrl-z

From 7:30 to 8:30 the corner of 2nd and Adams in McMinnville was filled with pro-Cindy, anti-war protesters. There were lots of signs, candles and even a few kids. In contrast to the last protest I attended at this location in September '04 (on the other side of the street) a majority of the people driving by honked, cheered, nodded and exhibited drive-by support. Only one person expressed their disagrement with a single digit "Bush Press" salute.

It looks like the polls are right. The tide is turning.

400 people in Olympia 18.Aug.2005 00:32

This is a second hand report but I was told that 400 people showed up to the vigil in downtown Olympia tonight. Spirits were apparently very high and the response from the community was overwhelmingly supportive. People spread out along the sides of the street for several blocks with signs supporting Cindy Sheehan and calling for an end to the war. The overall feeling, as related to me, was very positive and energizing.

If anyone has pictures from the Olympia rally or any other rallies from around the region I would like to see them posted.

Idahoans are on it. 18.Aug.2005 10:51

Vigil in Support of Mother Whose Son Was Killed In Iraq

Candlelight vigil in "Flower Peoples' Park"
Donnelly, Idaho

Valley County - Local mothers, family members of soldiers, and other
concerned citizens will hold a vigil in Donnelly in support of Cindy

Cindy.

The President is on vacation in Crawford, Texas before going to Utah,
then Idaho for additional vacation, but refuses to meet with Cindy.

We simply believe she has a right to be heard and have her questions
answered.
